- CAR T physician: Directs and oversees your medical care
- Advanced practice provider: A nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) who works closely with your physician in managing your care
- CAR T nurse navigator: Key clinical contact who provides education about the CAR T treatment process, the caregiver role, and other medical questions. Key contact with your local oncologist/care team before and after treatment.
- Clinical coordinator: Schedules your preparative testing and can answer non-clinical questions
- Financial counselor: The link between you and your insurance company, helping you understand your health insurance coverage and financial responsibilities for this therapy
- Clinical social worker: Provides counseling and emotional support to you and your family and can discuss community resources
- Resource specialist; Helps identify short-term accommodations (if needed), transportation options, address parking concerns, and help with referrals to community-based programs
